Severe Cystic Acne Makes For An Ugly Sight That You Wish Never Happened
If you are diagnosed with severe cystic acne chances are great that you will end up losing quite some sleep worrying about how to treat the condition and also trying to figure out why it affected you and not someone else. As the term suggests, severe cystic acne is a severe case of acne in which the roots of the problem are very deep and the sight of the acne is so bad that it will make you feel quite disturbed. As you may well know, acne occurs on account of accumulation of dirt and oil as too bacteria that cannot escape from the pores of your skin and so this collection only ends up clogging up the pores. The trouble with treating severe cystic acne is that as mentioned the problem is more serious than just getting rid of dirt and oil and bacteria because all of these things are deeply embedded in the lower layers of the skin and even then the problem does not end there; but, continues to grow as well as breed where it is hard for topical creams and other lotions to reach and do anything effective.
Bacteria like to feed on whatever they can consume and this helps make the bacteria proliferate until the source of food is exhausted or the bacteria is killed off. In the case of severe cystic acne, the bacteria live very deep down in the lower layers of the skin and that means that they are able to get a constant supply of nourishments which allows them to proliferate and proliferate.
This in turn means that getting rid of severe cystic acne requires treating the condition in such a manner that the solution being used must be able to find the bacteria and then destroy them. This is beyond what typical topical creams and ointments can do. In fact, only a doctor will be able to prescribe the proper treatment which might involve having to take antibiotics – oral or otherwise.
The bottom line is that you will need to consult a dermatologist to help find the right solution with which to get rid of severe cystic acne.
