Cystic acne is a variation of acne where the occurrence is quire severe that the acne forms into cysts or nodules. The application of ointments and creams containing isotretinoin may be one of the more effective ways to handle and control cystic acne. For mild to moderate cases of cystic acne, creams and ointments with antimicrobial or antibiotic elements come in handy.
